After School

CAE offers a wide array of after school programming, including sequential art classes, cultural experiences, and include performances by professional artists. After school programming, funded with City and State grants, can also be aligned with grade-level academic objectives.

“Having CAE at my school has done wonders for my students and our school community. Students have found artforms like animation and story-telling that they really connect to.”

- Principal, PS 110 Brooklyn

The Cultural After School Adventures (CASA) programs provide an array of high-quality arts and cultural experiences to youth enrolled in after-school activities. Working with CAE’s Teaching Artists over a number of weeks, students have taken part in workshops in jazz, blues, percussion, poetry, puppetry, dance, printmaking, chorus, theatre – and much more! Units of study are often interdisciplinary, support learning across subjects and  can be tailored to individual schools' interest and goals. These programs are generously supported by New York City Council and Department of Cultural Affairs.
