Since 2017, CAE has partnered with City Parks Foundation to develop residency programs centered on marquee artists at SummerStage sites in each borough.
Workshops engage young people ages 8-13 in all five boroughs. Residencies prepare students to meet with the featured artists, while learning and explore various music and dance genres.
This summer’s residencies focused on artists and ensembles such as Ronald K. Brown’s Evidence Dance Company, A Palo Seco flamenco ensemble, Princess Lockeroo, Eddie Palmieri, and the Wabafu Garifuna Collective.
